Punjabi singer Jasmine Sandlas surprised fans by announcing her engagement during the opening night of her ‘The Dream Girl India Tour’ in Delhi.
The singer introduced her fiancé, Shekhar Chaudhary, on stage during the concert held at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre on Saturday night.
Several videos from the concert have gone viral on social media, showing the emotional moment when Jasmine invited Shekhar on stage and revealed that the two are engaged.
Holding his hand before a cheering crowd, Jasmine said, “This is the man who put a ring on it. This is my man, everybody!”
She then hugged him on stage and proudly showed her engagement ring to the audience.
The couple also shared a romantic dance to Jasmine’s popular track ‘Laavan,’ drawing loud applause from fans present at the venue.
Before leaving the stage, Shekhar blew a kiss to Jasmine, after which the singer appeared visibly emotional.
The Delhi concert marked the beginning of Jasmine’s multi-city Dream Girl India Tour.
During the show, she performed several fan-favorite songs, including ‘Taras,’ ‘Illegal Weapon,’ ‘Laavan,’ ‘Panjeba,’ and ‘Sip Sip.’
She also performed songs from ‘Dhurandhar,’ including ‘Shararat’ and ‘Jaiye Sajana.’
After the Delhi show, Jasmine is scheduled to perform in Mumbai on July 18, Bengaluru on July 25, and Chandigarh on August 29.
Jasmine Sandlas was born in Jalandhar, Punjab, and raised in Stockton, California.
She began her music career with her debut single ‘Muskan’ in 2007.
She made her Bollywood playback debut with ‘Yaar Na Miley’ from Salman Khan’s 2014 film ‘Kick.’
The song became a major hit and helped establish her as one of the popular Punjabi voices in Bollywood.
Over the years, Jasmine has delivered several successful songs, including ‘Taras’ from ‘Munjya,’ ‘Shararat,’ and the title track from ‘Dhurandhar,’ along with ‘Main Aur Tu’ and ‘Jaiye Sajana’ from ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge.’
The singer enjoys a strong fan following for her Punjabi music and Bollywood playback numbers.
Her engagement announcement has now added an emotional and memorable moment to her ongoing India tour.
