In a significant step towards promoting menstrual hygiene, dignity and the well-being of girl students, IMC Foundation today contributed 8,000 packs of IMC Sanitary Napkins, comprising 64,000 sanitary pads, to the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana, Sh. Himanshu Jain, for distribution among school-going girls.
Known for its continued commitment towards the welfare of society, nation-building and community service, IMC Foundation has been undertaking various initiatives aimed at supporting health, hygiene, education and social well-being.
The contribution of sanitary napkins is another meaningful endeavour by the Foundation towards ensuring that girl students have access to essential menstrual hygiene products and can continue their education with confidence, dignity and comfort.
Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Satyan Bhatia, Patron of IMC Foundation said that menstrual hygiene is not merely a health concern but an important aspect of dignity, education and empowerment of girls. The Foundation believes that every girl deserves access to proper menstrual hygiene facilities, irrespective of her social or economic background. IMC Foundation expressed its gratitude to the Ludhiana District Administration and Deputy Commissioner Sh. Himanshu Jain for facilitating this initiative and for supporting efforts directed towards the welfare of school-going girls.
