Liberty Market is the Lifeline of the City, Safety and Facilities of Traders Are Our Priority – Akshay Sharma
Amritsar: BJP youth leader from Amritsar North constituency, , held a special meeting with traders at Liberty Market and listened to their concerns. During the interaction, he said that he had been wanting to meet the traders for a long time to better understand their problems, and today he finally got the opportunity to interact with them directly.
Akshay Sharma said that if a BJP government is formed in Punjab, the issues faced by traders will be resolved on a priority basis. He added that there is a need to understand and adopt Prime Minister ’s vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.”
He stated that if traders become strong, the city will also become strong, because markets are the backbone of the city’s economy. “It is not enough for shops to simply function; it is equally important to understand the problems of traders and stay connected with them,” he said.
During the meeting, traders raised issues related to washrooms, CCTV cameras, street lights, security arrangements, and parking facilities in the market. Responding to these concerns, Akshay Sharma said that ensuring the safety of traders is extremely important and BJP will work towards resolving every issue that makes traders feel insecure.
Assuring the traders of his support, he said, “I am your brother and will always stand firmly with the trading community like a rock. The progress of trade will lead to the progress of the city.”
Addressing the youth, he said that in today’s time, young people need to focus on business and employment opportunities. Describing Liberty Market as the city’s “IT Hub,” he said that a large number of youngsters work there, but the market has still not received the level of facilities it truly deserves.
Akshay Sharma said that BJP’s dream is to uplift Punjab and the trading community. He assured the traders that he would soon return to the market with initiatives such as installing a cold drinking water machine and improving other facilities.
He further said that just as BJP at the Centre has taken the country to new heights of development, the party will bring similar development to Punjab as well. Therefore, people should support BJP and strengthen their future.
On this occasion, Pappu Mahajan, Rajesh Mahajan, Abhi Mahajan, Honey Sehgal, Sabbi, Mani, Vishal Sehgal, Balwant Singh, Kali Paji, Dr. Manu, Sandeep Singh, Ramandeep Singh, Pawan Mahajan, and several other associates were also present.
