Congress MP Manish Tewari on Thursday shared a cryptic message on social media after being left out of the party’s new organizational setup in Punjab ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections.

Reacting to a newspaper report about his exclusion from the newly announced Punjab Congress committees, Tewari posted on X that he wished he had an “antidote for the insecurities of individuals and institutions.”

He further said that the Indian National Congress had given him enough over the past 45 years and that he had devoted his entire adult life to the service of the party. Ending the post, Tewari wrote, “Que sera, sera. Whatever will be, will be.”

The post came a day after the Congress announced a revamped organizational structure for Punjab. The party named chairpersons for key election-related committees and appointed three working presidents, but no organizational responsibility was assigned to Tewari.

Tewari, a three-time Lok Sabha MP, currently represents Chandigarh. He has earlier represented Anandpur Sahib and Ludhiana parliamentary constituencies in Punjab.

According to a statement issued by AICC General Secretary K. C. Venugopal, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge approved the new appointments with immediate effect.

Under the new structure, former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has been appointed chairman of the Campaign Committee. Vijay Inder Singla will head the Election Management and Coordination Committee.

Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has been appointed chairman of the Core Committee, while Amar Singh will lead the Manifesto Committee.

The Congress has retained Amarinder Singh Raja Warring as president of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee and Partap Singh Bajwa as leader of the Congress Legislature Party.

The party has also appointed Sukhwinder Singh Danny, Raj Kumar Verka, and Sangat Singh Gilzian as working presidents of the Punjab Congress.

Tewari’s cryptic post has sparked political discussion within Punjab Congress circles as the party begins preparations for the 2027 Assembly elections.
