Haryana has secured the highest number of MBBS seats in the northern region for the 2026-27 academic session, with 2,960 seats available across 18 medical colleges.

Out of the 1.36 lakh MBBS seats available to medical aspirants across India this year, Haryana has received the maximum allocation in the region.

According to the MBBS seat matrix published by the National Medical Commission, 250 seats have been added in Haryana this year, while the remaining seats have been renewed.

All the newly added seats are in private medical colleges.

Eight government medical colleges in Haryana will offer 1,060 MBBS seats this year, with no increase over their renewed base.

The government colleges include Pt B D Sharma Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak, with 250 seats, and Employees State Insurance Corporation Medical College, Faridabad, with 150 seats.

BPS Government Medical College for Women, Sonepat, Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College, Karnal, and Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Government Medical College, Nalhar, will each offer 120 seats.

Pt Neki Ram Sharma Government Medical College, Bhiwani, Maharshi Chyawan Medical College, Koriawas, and Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government Medical College, Faridabad, will each offer 100 seats.

In the private sector, 10 medical colleges will offer 1,900 MBBS seats, including 250 newly increased seats.

Adesh Medical College and Hospital, Shahabad, Kurukshetra, and World College of Medical Sciences and Research, Jhajjar, will each offer 250 seats.

Maharishi Markandeshwar Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Mullana, Ambala, will offer 250 seats, including 200 renewed seats and 50 increased seats.

Al Falah School of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Faridabad, will offer 200 renewed MBBS seats.

The college had earlier come under attention in connection with the probe into the Delhi Red Fort blast case, in which its faculty member Umar Nabi was named as the main perpetrator.

Maharishi Markandeshwar College of Medical Sciences and Research, Sadopur, will offer 200 seats, including 150 renewed seats and 50 increased seats.

N C Medical College and Hospital, Panipat, will offer 200 seats.

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Gurgaon, formerly known as SGGST Medical College, will also offer 200 seats, including 150 renewed seats and 50 increased seats.

Amrita School of Medicine will offer 150 seats, while Maharaja Agrasen Medical College, Agroha, will offer 100 seats.

Sanskaram School of Medical Sciences, a new establishment this year, will offer 100 MBBS seats.

The seat matrix indicates that Haryana continues to strengthen its position as a major medical education hub in North India.
